There’s no comfort food quite like pizza. It’s a perfect way to treat yourself to a quick bite, feed a crowd, or have a celebration. Next time you’re looking for a delicious pizza in San Antonio, check out one of these fun spots.
Capo’s Pizza
Capo’s Pizza is a delicious option for classic pizza, pizza by the slice, subs, and wings. Get their Capos Supremo pizza with sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and black olives. Or get creative with the Moe Greene pizza, which uses a basil pesto sauce, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, chicken, artichokes, and Romano cheese. They also have several pizzas with a base of extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy delicious fresh toppings and creative combinations! Capo’s Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week and noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Dough Pizzeria Napoletana
At Dough Pizzeria, there’s a lot to enjoy! Make sure to start out with an appetizer. The truffle burrata is extremely popular – burrata filled with truffle and marscapone, served with tomatoes, rosemary balsamic reduction, extra virgin olive oil, and sea salt. Then enjoy a pizza napolitana—pizza marked by its charred crust, sparse toppings, and raised border. Try the pork love pizza with house made mozzarella, tomato sauce, house made spicy sausage, speck, soppressata salami, and pancetta. You can go to Dough Pizzeria from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, with extra hours to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. There are two Dough Pizzeria locations in San Antonio—one downtown and one on Blanco Road.
Chicago’s Pizza
For a deep dish style pizza, you have to check out Chicago’s Pizza. These thicker pies have crust topped with cheese and toppings, then covered with sauce. Eating it is definitely a job for a fork and knife! If someone in your group wants something different, you can also get pasta, wings, calzones, and sandwiches. Consider ordering online ahead of time, though, because these pizzas can take a while to cook! Chicago’s Pizza is at 5525 Blanco Road, Suite 115. They’re open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
